How to import 3D files from:
From Max layers are exported by material names. That's why first you have to assign materials with the correct names to all elements of your geometry. After that you can export your 3Dmax files as obj format using the following parameters:

From Rhino youcan export in LWO. format. To have the correct layer naming in FELIX you have to: Copy the layer names on to the objects names by selecting each layer's mesh (right mouse button over the layer and choose select layer) and by coping the Layer names on to the objects names.

Select all geometries and from File choose "export selected. Choose the lightwave .LWO format and save. Import the .lwo file in to FELIX
Fron the "File" menu choose export 3D model. Choose obj as exportation format and
save.
Fron the File menu choose Export all. Choose .obj as exportation format and save.
You can import the Lightwave .Lwo format directly in to FELIX. Please triple the geometry before you you import it in to FELIX (Shift T). Metanurbs are not yet supported.
Save in .Lwo format and import in FELIX.

Unfortunatelly lwo importer doesn't work with Modo files, I couldn't import 2 scenes, simple ones.
